CKAD UI-Agnostic Sprint

Keyboard-first sprint for engineers who want muscle memory on kubectl edits, dry-runs, and diff reviews without dashboard reliance.

Duration
3 weeks · 18 lab hours
Format
Self-paced with weekly live Q&A
Tuition (informational)
KRW 420,000

Overview

Every task is solvable from a terminal session. We intentionally avoid vendor dashboards so the skills transfer across employers. You will practice explaining each command aloud to reinforce intent for pair reviews.

What you work through

  • Strict kubectl-only pathways with optional k9s appendix
  • Pair interviews where learners narrate manifest diffs
  • Dry-run and server-side apply comparison labs
  • Label and selector debugging with deliberate typos
  • Port-forward troubleshooting with service mesh stubs
  • Timeboxed challenges with partial credit rubrics
  • Accessibility-conscious terminal themes preconfigured

Outcomes

  • Ship a change using server-side apply with peer-reviewed diff
  • Recover a mis-labeled Service without deleting workloads
  • Pass two narrated kubectl reviews with coaches

Facilitator

Sora Kim

Curriculum designer focused on CKAD ergonomics and review-friendly YAML.

Participant notes

Narrated kubectl reviews felt awkward at first, yet they exposed where I hand-waved arguments.
